RSR time-series

Note on changes to 2007 RSR time-series data

From 2007 onwards only Housing Associations which own and/or manage 1,000 or more units and/or bedspaces are required to complete the RSR long form. This has increased from 250 or more in previous years. As most of the variables on the RSR time-series system are only available in the RSR long form, aggregated data from 2007 onwards may be artificially lower when compared to the equivalent before 2007.

This applies to all Part E, K and L data and to most variables in Part O. Some variables in Part O are also provided from the RSR short form, which covers smaller Housing Associations. These are listed below:

  1. General needs social housing rental stock - Total units/bedspaces owned
  2. Vacant general needs units/bedspaces - Available for letting
  3. Supported housing and/or housing for older people social housing rental stock - Supported housing units/bedspaces owned
  4. Supported housing and/or housing for older people social housing rental stock - Housing for older people units/bedspaces owned
  5. Total number of general needs lettings
  6. Total number of homes which fail the DHS
  7. Total number of staff units
